At Luludew, we are always thrilled to collaborate with like-minded businesses that share our passion for supporting families. Today, we are excited to introduce FeminoCentric Physical Therapy & Wellness, a Pasadena-based clinic specializing in pelvic floor therapy and women’s health.

Meet Dr. Linda Sayyad, Founder of FeminoCentric Physical Therapy

Dr. Linda Sayyad, the founder and clinic director, has been practicing physical therapy for over 13 years. Originally specializing in orthopedic physical therapy, her own journey through pregnancy and childbirth ignited a passion for women’s health, particularly pelvic floor therapy. Dr. Sayyad saw first-hand how under-supported women are, especially postpartum, and made it her mission to help women reclaim their health.

In her words: “I realized how women’s health is being neglected in this country, and how very little support women receive after pregnancy and childbirth. We deserve more, and I made it my mission to advocate for women to live fuller, happier, and more productive lives.”

Services Offered for Expecting and New Parents

FeminoCentric offers a range of services designed specifically for pregnant and postpartum individuals, including:

  • Pelvic floor therapy
  • Pregnancy and postpartum corrective exercises
  • Treatment for conditions such as back and hip pain, incontinence, pain with intercourse, prolapse, and more.

What sets Dr. Sayyad and her practice apart is her unique 3-phase healing program that not only provides immediate relief but also teaches patients how to continue taking care of their pelvic floor health long-term. This holistic approach ensures that patients leave her practice equipped with the knowledge and confidence to care for their bodies well beyond their time at the clinic.

Commitment to Sustainability

At FeminoCentric, eco-friendly practices are at the core of their business operations. As a family-centered clinic, they prioritize the use of organic and recyclable products. According to Dr. Sayyad, “Using eco-friendly products minimizes costs, increases productivity, and most importantly, reduces office waste and our environmental impact, giving our clients a green future.”

A Memorable Experience with a Family

One of the most touching stories from Dr. Sayyad’s work involved a young woman struggling with pelvic floor issues that were affecting her marriage and desire to start a family. After just three months of treatment, the patient not only saw remarkable improvement in her physical health but also restored intimacy in her relationship. A few months later, she joyfully returned to share the news of her pregnancy and continued to receive care throughout her pregnancy.

Dr. Sayyad helped the patient overcome fears surrounding vaginal birth, and by providing education and exercises, she empowered her to approach labor confidently. The patient later described her birth experience as empowered and free of misconceptions, a true testament to the transformative impact of pelvic floor therapy.

Cloth Diapering Advice for New Parents

As someone who advocates for the well-being of families, Dr. Sayyad offers practical advice for parents considering cloth diapers:

  • Start Slow: Ease into cloth diapering part-time to see what works for you and your baby.
  • Research: There are many types of cloth diapers—explore different options to find the best fit for your routine.
  • Invest in Quality: A reliable wash routine and quality essentials, like a good diaper sprayer, can make all the difference.
  • Embrace the Learning Curve: Cloth diapering may take time to master, but resources and community support make the journey smoother.

FeminoCentric Physical Therapy & Wellness exemplifies the kind of thoughtful, compassionate care that aligns perfectly with Luludew’s mission to support families and the environment.
